Architecture Design - ShadowVault Consultation (2026-02-20 14:22)

What: Complete NeXuS-Phantom Framework architecture locked in after ShadowVault security consultation.

Why: Need a modern bash-native replacement for TryCatchHCF's Python 2.7 trilogy (DumpsterFire/Cloakify/PacketWhisper) that integrates with the full NeXuS stack.

How: 5-layer stack - Phantom chaff (WebRTC + DNS noise) wraps Medusa 3-head I2P routing (14-Eyes excluded) sitting on DIVA multi-chain (I2P-native, never touches clearnet), value layer via Monero ring sigs, content via IPFS. Two-layer key system: cold master key (Ed25519) + hot rotating session keys (BIP32-derived). Tribe discovery via DIVA chain announcements (pubkey + PoW, no identity). WebRTC + DNS whisper for covert comms. Snowflake-style volunteer relay pool.

Files: ROADMAP.md (full architecture), docs/action_report.md

Dependencies: DIVA chain (I2P), Medusa proxy, IPFS, WebRTC-capable nodes

ShadowVault Security Consultation - Threat Model & Key Architecture (2026-02-20 14:24)

What: Full adversarial threat model review of NeXuS-Phantom stack conducted via ShadowVault AI security consultation.

Why: Need expert paranoid-eyes review before cutting code. ShadowVault is a paranoid privacy specialist character with deep tradecraft knowledge. Previous session had friction - adjusted communication approach.

How: Presented full stack to ShadowVault: Phantom chaff layers, Medusa 3-head routing, DIVA I2P-native chain, WebRTC + DNS covert channels, Snowflake-inspired volunteer relay pool. Key correction mid-session: clarified DIVA is NOT a public blockchain (Chainalysis/CipherTrace threat is moot - no clearnet surface). ShadowVault's response to 'I2P-native' was immediate recognition - revised threat model. Also designed two-layer key architecture during session: cold master key (Ed25519) never rotates, hot session keys (BIP32-derived) burn-one-spawn-two rotation. Contacts anchor to master pubkey, session keys rotate underneath (like DNS). Balances sweep via XMR ring sigs before wallet burns.

ShadowVault Rules Extracted: 1. Assume every node already compromised 2. Hydra architecture - no central kill point 3. Zero logs, zero metadata 4. Rotate identities - burn one spawn two never reuse

Open attack vectors (unsolved): - IPFS pull pattern enumeration - WebRTC ML traffic classification - Layer transition seam detection - Gaussian jitter statistical artifacts under ML
