Brought NeXuS CLI Arsenal web app online (127.0.0.1:8080) (2026-07-19 17:07)¶
Status: ✅ TESTED (server up, HTTP 200, title confirmed)
What: Stood up the NeXuS CLI Arsenal — a FastAPI web interface that inventories every app/CLI on the node, enriches each with apk package info, categorizes, and lets you annotate. This is the 'see installed apps via web' interface (NOT the container-focused nncc/command-center).
Why: User wanted a web GUI to view installed apps; located the real app at ~/Projects/nexus-arsenal after ruling out nncc/dark-stack copies (duplication trap).
How: python3 -m venv .venv; pip install -r requirements.txt (fastapi 0.139.2, uvicorn 0.51.0); launched app_inventory_web.py --no-prescan (instant start; scan runs on first page load). Binds 127.0.0.1:8080 by default (secure). Env-driven: NEXUS_ARSENAL_HOST/PORT/DIR. DB at ~/.config/nexus/app_inventory.db.
Files: ~/Projects/nexus-arsenal/.venv (built). Logs at /tmp/nexus-arsenal.log.
Testing: NOT viewed in a browser yet (user on bare TTY, no GUI). To view from LAN: relaunch with NEXUS_ARSENAL_HOST=0.0.0.0 (exposes on network). Or w3m locally (degraded, JS-heavy).
Dependencies: fastapi, uvicorn (in venv); apk (for package enrichment).
Published nexus-arsenal to GitHub (2026-08-02 19:53)¶

What: Published NeXuS Arsenal (CLI app inventory web interface) to GitHub as a clean, universal release with no personal data.
Why: Existing app_inventory_web.py (2505 lines, FastAPI+SQLite) is fully portable — needed a proper README, .gitignore, and GitHub home.
How: - Established ~/Projects/nexus-arsenal as canonical location - Created Fossil repo at ~/museum/nexus-arsenal.fossil - Verified no personal data in Python files (XDG/env-var paths only) - Wrote full GitHub README: setup, API reference, config table, platform notes, feature list, philosophy - Added .fslckout to .gitignore - git init → checkout -b dev → first commit on dev (NeXuS protocol) - Created public GitHub repo + pushed dev branch via SSH
Files: ~/Projects/nexus-arsenal/{app_inventory_web.py, app_inventory_scanner.py, cli_launcher.py, requirements.txt, README.md, .gitignore}
Dependencies: fastapi + uvicorn (2 pip packages only). Python 3.8+. Linux universal.
Platform note: apk package enrichment is Alpine-only; graceful fallback on other distros. Documented in README.
