NeXuS Compass — 2026-07-29 — Proxy Manager + App Wiring

What shipped

  • nexus_web_server.py: symlink fix (_resolve uses normpath not resolve for containment), /api/apps, /api/wire, Pollinations models → {provider,models} shape, CSP expanded for cdn.tailwindcss.com + esm.sh
  • nexus-proxy-wire.sh: auto-detects vite+react vs static, patches nexusProxy.ts + index.tsx + vite.config base:'./', builds, symlinks dist → ~/nexus-web//
  • ~/nexus-web/manager/index.html: pure HTML dashboard — provider cards (key_present field), app cards with Open↗, wire panel with console output, 30s auto-refresh
  • NeXuS-AI-Foundry: Settings.tsx rebuilt with proxy-driven dropdowns + Custom fallback. Fossil nexus-ai-foundry.fossil, GitHub hackenstacks/nexus-ai-foundry (private)
  • ai-forge: nexusProxy.ts wired, SettingsModal rebuilt (same pattern as foundry), llmService default→openaiCompatible, ProviderType widened to string, index.css 404 fixed, Tailwind CDN CSP fixed, workspace code injected into system prompt, Code Review mode built (CodeInput + ReviewOutput + reviewCode() returning structured JSON — no full rewrites)
  • Fossil nexus-ai-forge.fossil, GitHub hackenstacks/nexus-ai-forge (private)
  • Server fossil: ea1509a9 (symlink), ed15fd48 (manager API), + pollinations models fix + CSP

Current state of ~/nexus-web/

chargen → adv-ai-nexus/.../dist (A.I.M.E, fully wired) foundry → NeXuS-AI-Foundry-v-9 - 1/dist (proxy dropdowns) forge → ai-forge/dist (proxy settings + code review mode) oc → OpenCharacters-0.0.5/ (static, play.html) manager → nexus-web/manager/ (dashboard)

Known issues / tomorrow queue

  • Pollinations 429 rate limit — busy server. Consider retry logic in proxy or default to Mistral
  • ai-forge Code Review mode: needs real test with Mistral (built but untested end-to-end)
  • ai-forge chat workspace injection: built (enrichedPersona in handleSendMessage) but not confirmed working — test by uploading file + asking about it
  • Forge code review output (from chat mode): garbled markdown from Pollinations — structured mode should fix this
  • manager: provider cards show ○ no key for all — fixed (key_present field) but needs browser refresh to confirm
  • beta dir archive: ~/Projects/beta/ai-character-generator/ — still pending, unblocked
  • Fossilize nexus-charcard (Go lib) — still pending
