MkDocs site built + all docs wired in + infographics embedded (2026-03-09 19:08)

What: Built the NeXuS MkDocs documentation site with Material theme and wired in all docs and infographics.

Why: Need a browsable docs site for NeXuS that renders all design documents with proper navigation and images.

How: - MkDocs + mkdocs-material installed via pipx inject - Site at ~/Documents/nexus-docs/, served on localhost:8000 - 14 pages across 8 sections: What Is NeXuS, Network, Security, AI, Development, Architecture, Node, Dev - 4 infographics embedded: nexus-30kft-view-blueprint, hybrid-sovereignty, project-chimera, survival-com-system - All docs given proper H1 headers - Duplicate systems-overview-nexus.md removed - Design docs linked via symlinks so edits auto-reflect - Git initialised on nexus-docs repo

To serve: cd ~/Documents/nexus-docs && mkdocs serve

GitHub Pages live deployment + homepage redesign (2026-03-09)

What: Deployed NeXuS docs to GitHub Pages at https://hackenstacks.github.io/nexus/

Why: User requested public docs hosting on GitHub with a redesigned homepage — 30k ft view, quick start, downloads, emoji/color/italic styling.

How: - Created GitHub repo hackenstacks/nexus (public) - Updated mkdocs.yml: added site_url, repo_url, emoji extension (pymdownx.emoji), attr_list, md_in_html, pymdownx.details, pymdownx.tasklist, navigation.tabs.sticky, navigation.instant - Rewrote docs/index.md: full homepage with emojis, tabbed quick start, 4-card downloads grid, split what's-working/building checklist, 8-card docs grid, philosophy block, join section - Ran mkdocs gh-deploy --force — pushes built site to gh-pages branch - GitHub Pages auto-enabled on gh-pages branch

How: - MkDocs 1.6.1 + mkdocs-material installed via pipx inject - Site root: /home/user/Documents/nexus-docs/ - docs/ contains all documentation pages - 14+ pages across 8 nav sections: What Is NeXuS, Network, Security, AI, Development, Architecture, Node, Dev - Design docs from nexus-design/ linked into docs/ directory - 4 infographics embedded: - nexus-30kft-view-blueprint.png → homepage hero - hybrid-sovereignty.png → nexus-overview.md - project-chimera.png → ai-merged-identity.md - survival-com-system.png → zombie-apoc-doc.md - All docs given proper H1 headers where missing - Duplicate systems-overview-nexus.md removed (identical to system-arch-chimera.md, confirmed by user) - User-contributed docs integrated: 3key-security, ai-merged-identity, autonomouse-ai-intelligence, cli-libs-tui-frameworks, medusa-stealth-routing, oaae-framework, zombie-apoc-doc, nexus-overview, dpfoe-ai-intelligence, event-horizon, system-arch-chimera - Git initialized on nexus-docs repo

What: Deployed NeXuS docs site to GitHub Pages — live at https://hackenstacks.github.io/nexus/

Why: User requested public GitHub-hosted docs with a new homepage: 30k ft view, quick start, downloads, emoji/color/italic styling. Previous docs were local only.

How:

Homepage (docs/index.md) full rewrite: - hide: [navigation, toc] — full-width homepage - Version tag in H1: # :dragon: NeXuS <small>beta-v1</small> - Hero: 30k ft blueprint image + tagline + italic subheading - 8-layer stack table with emoji per row - Quick Start: 3 tabbed options (install script / manual Alpine / container try-now) - Downloads: 4 Material grid cards (ISO placeholder, install script placeholder, container stack available now, wallet placeholder) - What's Working Now: split 2-column grid (✅ ready / 🔨 Phase 1 / 🌅 Phase 2) - Documentation: 8 grid cards covering all major doc sections - Philosophy: REVERSED comparison table in code block - Join section with contribution pathways - Footer buttons: GitHub, Network Stack, Quick Start
